The program is run by volunteers, and for the most part sessions are completed with an occupational therapist present. I give lessons Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday.
I am a licensed OT, with 20 yrs. of experience. We do not have a wait list, and if you can fit into the schedule, you can start when you want. During COVID, we can all wear masks for the safety of the riders and volunteers.
We are open year round with an indoor riding arena.
LaDawn Quarter Horses Therapeutic Riding Center is a non-profit organization. As a result LaDawn attempts to keep its costs down by using volunteers 100% of the time. However, the horses are not volunteers and cost money to up-keep.
Cost of the Program:
- 1/2 hour session = $35.00
- 1 hour session semiprivate = $45.00
- 1 hour session private = $55.00
We do not take insurance as a rule, the paperwork is too hard to process without regular office staff to make calls.
We do have forms that would need to be filled out prior to the start of riding.
